About Blue Ridge Transportation

Built in Appalachia. Built to Move. Here's who we are, what we believe, and how we operate.

(a) Who we are

Built in Appalachia. Built to Move.

Blue Ridge Transportation was created with a straightforward idea: transportation can be dependable and professional without losing sight of the people behind every shipment.

From our home in Johnson City, Tennessee, we provide freight transportation throughout our Appalachian Service Corridor and beyond. Our operation is being built around versatile equipment, responsive communication, strong relationships, and the ability to serve businesses that need a transportation partner they can actually reach.

We are proud to be a small carrier. It allows us to know our customers, understand the people operating our equipment, and remain close to the freight entrusted to us.

As we grow, we intend to preserve that accessibility.

(b) Our vision

Our Vision

To build a transportation company where people, purpose, and service move together—strengthening communities, creating opportunity, and setting a higher standard for ethical transportation throughout Appalachia and beyond.

(c) Our mission

Our Mission

Serve. Connect. Deliver. Move What Matters.

(d) Our values

People. Integrity. Service. Responsibility.

People

We put people first, treating employees, customers, partners, and communities with dignity and respect.

Integrity

We act with integrity, choosing what is right even when it is not the easiest path.

Service

We deliver dependable service, understanding that every shipment represents a commitment someone is counting on.

Responsibility

We embrace responsibility—for safety, ethical business practices, human rights, our communities, and the trust placed in us.

We don’t simply move freight. We move what matters—with purpose.

(e) Our name

Why Blue Ridge?

The Blue Ridge Mountains represent home, endurance, connection, and movement.

Our company carries those same ideas.

Blue Ridge Transportation began in Northeast Tennessee with an appreciation for the communities spread throughout the Appalachian region—from growing cities and industrial centers to small towns connected by mountain highways and rural roads. Those communities depend on transportation, and we want to help keep them moving.

Our regional identity does not limit where we can go. Instead, it gives us a place from which to grow.

(f) Transportation with responsibility

More Than Moving Freight

Moving freight creates responsibilities that extend beyond pickup and delivery — to road safety, working conditions, and the communities and drivers who keep commerce moving.

Doing business the right way—even when nobody is watching.
